Metropolia acts as the coordinator of the group project and is responsible for the progress of the project's action plan, project management and reporting.
Test platform planning and construction
Metropolia is responsible for the planning, procurement and construction of the robotics testbed (Sandbox). This section includes the definition and integration of the technological operating concept.
Swarm robotics and networked solutions
Aalto's research and piloting of technical solutions ensures the functionality and high quality of the Sandbox as a research platform.
Piloting a physical test platform and utilizing digital environments
Metropolia together with Aalto implements de minimis measures for companies: surveys and concrete piloting on the testbed platform. Materials from the digital support environment are compiled into an open-source library open to everyone.
Collaboration, communication and dissemination of results
Metropolia is responsible for Scale Down's project communications, and organization of co-development workshops throughout the project's process.
